Returning to SOFA to exhibit exhilarating new work by a group of both established and emerging artists

Bender Gallery is excited to announce our participation in Chicago’s SOFA Expo art fair once again this year. The fair runs from Friday November 3 through Sunday November 5, with a VIP Preview on Thursday evening November 2. We will be featuring exhilarating new sculptural work by the world renowned glass artist team, Philip Baldwin & Monica Guggisberg. We are delighted to sponsor a lecture being held on Friday November 3 from 12-1 PM entitled, “The Journey is the Destination - Blowing Glass and Making Art in the 20th and 21st Centuries: survival, disaster and a whole lot of fun in between” . Artist Philip Baldwin will recount some of the ups and downs in getting from “there to here” with his long-time collaborator, Monica Guggisberg.
The gallery will also be exhibiting sculpture from three internationally recognized Australian-based artists, Noel Hart, Tim Shaw and Emma Varga as well as work by emerging American artists Joshua Hershman, Karsten Oaks and Muranese brothers Marco & Mattia Salvadore. This year we will be exhibiting limited edition bronze sculptures by the distinguished glass artist, William Morris.
We are also pleased to exhibit original paintings by artists Nicora Gangi, Kim Goldfarb and Fabio Modica.
